In Loving Memory of Pauline Hesketh

Dear Church Family

I am saddened to inform you of the passing of Pauline Hesketh, a faithful and long-time member of St Christopher's, who went home to be with the Lord this past Wednesday at the age of 97.

Pauline had a remarkable legacy within our church. She was an active member of AAW and served as its President for two separate terms. Even when mobility issues made it difficult, Pauline remained a dedicated worshipper, attending our Wednesday services and occasionally the Sunday 9am service. She was a woman of prayer and a valued member of the Order of St Luke, a healing and wholeness ministry of which I am also a member and serve as chaplain for its Blenheim chapter. In the final months of her life, she continued to faithfully attend the fortnightly service at Bethsaida Rest Home, led by a team from our church.

We give thanks for Pauline’s life, her faithful witness as a Christian, and the many years of dedicated service she gave to our church. We are comforted by the words of our Lord Jesus: “I am the resurrection and the life, they who believe in me, though they die, yet shall they live; for whoever lives and believes in me shall never die but have everlasting life.” (John 11:25-26)

As per Pauline's wishes, her family will hold a private service for her. Let us continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss.

With thanks for the life of Pauline, and in God’s peace,

Deo
